Five of the DMV’s finest (weirdest) burlesque/boylesque and variety performers are putting together puppet-themed acts to entertain everyone’s inner bad boy or girl.
Enter a world of singing hot dogs, lusty fire breathing dragons, and muppets with no morals.
Avenue Burly Q stars “Stepford Wife Gone Wild” Bella La Blanc, Sideshowman Charlie Artful, former Ringling clown Jim Dandy, classically trained dancer Lola Rose. and pervpunk dragster Lucrezia Blozia.
The Round World is donating 10% of the profits from this show to Defenders of Playtime/Homeless Children’s Playtime Project who nurture healthy child development and reduce the effects of trauma among children living in temporary housing program in DC by providing structured playtime.
Avenue Burly Q at the Bier Baron, 1523 22nd Street, N.W., in Washington, DC 20037. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the show begins at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $12 in advance through Brown Paper Tickets online, or $15 at the door. This show is for 21+year-olds!
